Typically our rates of pay are the highest of all the teacher recruitment agencies operating in this field, leaving you plenty of funds to save as well as travel.
Your pay rate will be determined by:
- The number of years teaching experience you have
- The type of contract you accept (whether you are paid on timesheets through Teachlondon, or directly through the Local Education Authority or school)
- The area in England in which you are teaching
We will discuss the rates in more detail during your interview.
From the moment you contact us you will begin to notice that TeachLondon's Career Managers are amongst the most informed recruitment professionals in the industry. When you need an answer on a particular query, we will have an answer, or we will provide a means whereby you can find it.
When you arrive in the UK you will be invited to attend an Induction interview in our London Office. This will afford you the opportunity to meet you UK Career Manager who will have been in touch since your registration Overseas. You will have the opportunity to ask any questions that you may have at this early stage.
You will also be invited to attend an induction seminar. These seminars are organised by our Teacher Guidance Manger and cover relevant topics on teaching and living in the UK. Presentations on how to deliver the National Curriculum and tips on behaviour management are given by established UK Senior Teachers. The seminars are followed by a series of training sessions to help ensure that you are fully equipped to teach effectively during your first month of teaching in the UK. When you begin teaching, you will also be supported by our Teacher Guidance Manager.
The Teacher Guidance Manager (TGM) provides support to teachers once employment has commenced. The TGM is an experienced educator with first hand knowledge of the British Education system. You will be contacted by the TGM at regular intervals and individual meetings at your school can be arranged. The TGM understands the challenges overseas teachers encounter when teaching in another country and will be here to assist you.
A Teacher Guidance Manager will give personal advice, help with lesson planning and guidance to ensure your transition into teaching in the British school system is a positive and enjoyable experience.
Contact Clint Daniels to find out more about teaching in the UK.
Each term we also arrange teacher parties and social events in London, so you'll get a chance to meet your Career Managers and the TeachLondon team. These get-togethers are also a great opportunity to meet other teachers in the same situation as you.
